For those who aren't familiar, the Saab 900 Turbo is equipped with a twin-cam 16v 2.0 liter inline four, factory turbocharged with a Garrett T3 and intercooled. Factory performance figures were 160hp/188ft-lbs starting in 1985 for the US. This is the "classic 900" as we call it, in order to differentiate it from the 1994-1998 Saab 900 produced in conjunction with General Motors.
The Grey Ghost is my 1987 Saab 900 turbo convertible that I've owned for 7 years. It has gone through many iterations and several modifications inside and out. My father and I do all the work on our own out of our garage, including repair, maintenance, custom fabrication and installation, paint, bodywork, and more. This car is equipped with a rare factory Airflow body kit imported from Germany in 2000 (only a handful have made it to the US). It is the first year of the 900 convertible and includes many rare parts that I have collected from classic Saab history.
This car is currently undergoing Megasquirt engine management installation and should break the 300hp mark. Last dyno was at 250hp/310ft-lbs, but is nowhere near current.
