For those who aren't familiar, the Saab 900 Turbo is equipped with a twin-cam 16v 2.0 liter inline four, factory turbocharged with a Garrett T3 and intercooled.  Factory performance figures were 160hp/188ft-lbs starting in 1985 for the US.  This is the "classic 900" as we call it, in order to differentiate it from the 1994-1998 Saab 900 produced in conjunction with General Motors.

The Grey Ghost is my 1987 Saab 900 turbo convertible that I've owned for 7 years.  It has gone through many iterations and several modifications inside and out.  My father and I do all the work on our own out of our garage, including repair, maintenance, custom fabrication and installation, paint, bodywork, and more.  This car is equipped with a rare factory Airflow body kit imported from Germany in 2000 (only a handful have made it to the US).  It is the first year of the 900 convertible and includes many rare parts that I have collected from classic Saab history.

This car is currently undergoing Megasquirt engine management installation and should break the 300hp mark.  Last dyno was at 250hp/310ft-lbs, but is nowhere near current.

Main modifications include:
-Garrett T3/T4 Hybrid .60/.63 w/Stage III exhaust wheel, 360* thrust bearing & gapped oil seal
-SS Mandrel-bent equal length header, ceramic coated black
-Custom 3" downpipe
-Custom 1.5" external WG atmospheric dump pipe
-Precision 350hp intercooler (26 3/4" x 6 3/8" x 3.5")
-TiAL 38mm external wastegate set at 8.7 PSI
-Swedish Dynamics Kevlar/Sintered Iron clutch & Sachs pressure plate
-2.3L head & 2.1L intake manifold
-lowered compression ratio to 8.75:1
-NA intake cam & 85 900T exhaust cam
-Swedish Dynamics Stage 4 APC, max boost 24psi
-JSP Stage II LH 2.2 fuel chip
-Trionic redtop injectors, 34lb/hr
-2.5" mandrel-bent aluminum IC piping
-Knock LED in dash
-Test pipe (no cat) 2.5" piping w/magnaflow performance muffler
-Solid motor mounts
-Frankenstein transmission: bigger pinion bearing/strongest shift forks/strongest 5-speed case, steel welded differential cover
-DIY short shifter
-3.0 bar fuel pressure regulator
-DIY Vacuum advance mod
-Ractive cold-air intake in inner fender, 3" intake piping
